Pop star MIKA has announced a run of intimate stripped-back sets and talks at UK record stores, with a pitstop in Liverpool. The Brit Award-winning singer rose to international fame in 2007 with his debut single Grace Kelly, which became a massive hit and one of the defining songs of the decade.

His debut album, Life in Cartoon Motion, released that same year, sold over eight million copies worldwide and established his success during that period. Fast forward to now, and the artist is celebrating the release of Hyperlove – his first English-language studio album since 2019.

MIKA said: “In celebration of the release of Hyperlove, I’ll be visiting some record stores around the UK where I will be performing a few songs and talking you through my recording and writing process.

“This is something I have never done before, and I am so excited to do it in the place where it all started for me.”

Hyperlove will be released on Friday, January 23, with MIKA coming to the city on Wednesday, January 28.

The singer will be taking over Jacaranda Records in the Baltic Triangle. Tickets are now on sale. Mika is scheduled to perform a larger concert nearby at the AO Arena in Manchester on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.

MIKA’s team said, with Hyperlove, the artist returns to the piano as his “creative compass and embarks on a daring reinvention, an album that merges the warmth of analogue imperfections with the pristine pulse of electronic pop”.

The album is written entirely beginning at the piano and crafted using “exclusively analogue and vintage outboard gear. The record is a living, breathing landscape full of vulnerability, grit, longing, and euphoria”.

MIKA’s catalogue includes releases such as The Boy Who Knew Too Much, The Origin of Love, No Place in Heaven, and My Name Is Michael Holbrook, along with collaborations with Pharrell Williams, Ariana Grande, and Gregg Wells.

Beyond the studio, MIKA is a television personality, serving as a judge on X Factor Italy, a coach on The Voice France, and host of the Rose d’Or–winning Stasera Casa Mika.
