Popular 00s boyband Blue, who have a collection of number one hits to their name, will be visiting a Bury record store this week to meet fans and sign copies of their new album.
Rising to fame with their debut single All Rise in 2001, Blue have sold more than 3.6 million albums and 2.6 million singles in the UK alone. Made up of Lee Ryan, Simon Webbe, Duncan James and Antony Costa, the four-piece have released seven albums to date. This week, the group have released their latest album, Reflections, and will be heading out across the UK to meet fans and sign copies of the record. One stop will see Blue heading to Wax and Beans, on Bury’s Market Street, on Monday evening (January 12).
The popular record store, which has been run by owners Ben Soothill and Louise Jackson since opening in 2019, has hosted a series of famous faces in recent years including JADE and Shed Seven, with upcoming events lined up with the likes of Cast and Kula Shaker. Situated in a Grade II-listed building within the Culture Quarter, the coffee shop and record store has garnered a big reputation with music fans nationwide.
For their appearance on Monday evening, Blue will be heading to Wax and Beans from 6pm. Tickets, which start from £10 here, will be required to attend the event. There are also bundles where people can buy a ticket and a copy of the album, which can be picked up at the store during the event ready to be signed. There will be no tickets available on the door.

In a post on the store’s Facebook page, the owners have also confirmed fans will be able to get a photograph with the band too. There will also be a one-way system in place, with people expected to have to queue outside the store as they wait to get in. The store said: “Like with all previous signings, we’ll be operating a one way system through the shop with the queue starting at the shop entrance, then out of the side door from the rear of the shop. Please do bring something warm and waterproof!
“Great news, we’ve just had confirmation from management, you’ll be able to get a picture with the lads tomorrow. We’ll sort these for you, please have your phone charged and ready! All LPs and CDs on your order will be handed over to you upon entry. Please remove the cellophane so that we can keep everything moving nicely.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming both new and existing folk to the shop, see you tomorrow. 6pm start, all names are on the door. The lads have been on great form this week at the signings, as you’d expect. They’re looking forward to meeting fans.”

Since their debut in 2001, Blue have achieved three number one hits – Too Close, If You Come Back, and Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word – and have worked with the likes of Elton John and Stevie Wonder. They also represented the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2011, finishing in a respectable 11th place.
Their latest album marks 25 years in the music industry for the band. The anniversary will be celebrated with a special tour later this year, which will include two shows in Manchester. They will play the Bridgewater Hall on April 26, and the Opera House on May 18.
