The University of Edinburgh has opened applications for the Glenmore Postgraduate Scholarships for the 2026–2027 academic year, offering full tuition support to outstanding students from developing countries who wish to pursue master’s degrees in healthcare and medicine. The scholarship is designed to support future leaders in human health disciplines whose education will contribute to improved health outcomes in their home countries.
Three Glenmore Postgraduate Scholarships are available for the upcoming academic session. Each award covers full tuition fees for the duration of the eligible master’s programme, including any additional programme-specific costs listed on the University’s Degree Finder. The scholarships are open to students from a range of developing countries; within the Arab region, eligible applicants include nationals of Algeria, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Somalia, Sudan, Tunisia, and Yemen.
The scholarship supports a selection of taught master’s programmes in human healthcare and medicine, delivered either on campus in Edinburgh or online. A complete list of eligible programmes is published on the University of Edinburgh’s official scholarship webpage. Selection is based primarily on academic excellence and the quality of the applicant’s personal statement, with clear guidance provided on the themes and criteria that candidates are expected to address.
Applicants must hold a UK first-class honours degree or an international equivalent and must have received, accepted, or be intending to accept an offer of admission to an eligible programme at the University of Edinburgh. Priority is given to candidates who have not previously studied at master’s level and who demonstrate a strong commitment to applying their medical or healthcare training in countries where the need for skilled professionals is greatest.
