Armed police have locked down a street in Edinburgh after reports of a blood-soaked man.
Emergency services were called to Drum Brae Drive in the Clermiston area of the city this morning, Tuesday, January 13.

Local reports suggested a blood-soaked man was seen in the residential street. An eyewitness described seeing a man whose head was covered in bandages being wrestled to the ground by officers.

An image taken by a resident showed three police vehicles parked on the rain-soaked street.
Police tape blocks off part of the road and a uniformed officer can be seen standing alongside a number of local people in front of the cordon. Another image showed an ambulance parked outside of a property.
A number of Lothian Bus services have been diverted from the area while the incident remains ongoing.
A post said: “Due to road closures buses are unable to serve Drum Brae Drive and are instead diverted via Drum Brae North, and QUeensferry Road in both directions until further notice.”
The Record has contacted Police Scotland for comment.
