Fatboy Slim has added an extra Birmingham show to his ongoing Acid Ballroom UK Tour.


Due to demand, Brighton DJ and producer Norman Cook will now play the O2 Institute on February 5, ahead of his previously confirmed two shows at the O2 Academy on February 6 and 7. 


The tour will also see him play two gigs apiece at Manchester’s Aviva Studios and London’s Alexandra Palace, as well as three nights at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom between February 26 and 28.


He also has a busy summer ahead, including Forest Live dates, his Big Beach Boutique 7 event in Brighton, as well as shows at Dreamland Margate and Colchester Castle Summer Series, plus appearances at a number of festivals, including Boardmasters, Tramlines and Camp Bestival.


Tickets for the new Birmingham show go on general sale at 10am on Friday (January 16). All other dates are on sale now. 


Cook was also recently announced as one of the first headline acts for this year’s edition of BRITs Week for War Child. Head here for more details.


Before Christmas, he released It Ain’t Over Til The Fatboy Sings, a book celebrating “40 years of thrills, spills, beats and repeats.”
