Coronation Street viewers have rumbled Jodie’s link to Graham after weeks of questioning her identity. New character Jodie arrived on the ITV soap with a bang as part of the dramatic Corriedale crossover episode. The worlds of Coronation Street and Emmerdale collided in a one-hour special broadcast, dubbed “Corriedale”. It was during this time Olivia’s character Jodie was introduced to fans.
A woman could be seen travelling in the back of a van as a hostage, driven by Emmerdale’s Graham Foster who is Joe Tate’s dad. Taking to social media during the crossover episode, fans asked: “Who was that tied up in the vehicle?” The mystery newcomer was listed in the Corriedale cast list as a character called “Jodie”.
Viewers wondered who Jodie could be, until they spotted a familiar-looking tattoo which matched the one Shona Platt has on her back. It has since been confirmed that Jodie is Shona’s half-sister, but fans are convinced she is hiding something deeper.
Wednesday’s episode saw Jodie spend the night at number eight following David’s offer of a place to stay. After suffering a panic attack outside the hospital, she told her new brother-in-law she was heading to find a hotel, until he offered Max’s old room.
But Bethany and Lilly were shocked to find their new family member making herself at home.
A hilarious moments in tonight’s broadcast saw Nick Tilsley also arrive at the house and was taken aback when Jodie answered the door in a dressing gown.

A suspicious Nick patiently waited for the rest of the Platts to return, while Jodie tried to convince him she was telling the truth about being Shona’s half-sister.
Later on, Shona returned home but was quick to address a bruise she had spotted on Jodie’s arm. Jodie explained the bruise was from her former partner, telling her sister: “I picked the wrong bloke. I think I thought it was a phase.”
Shona and David comforted Jodie, as they asked some questions about her past, including how she ended up in the same car crash as they did.
Without mentioning any link to Graham, Jodie said she was trying escape an abusive relationship but found herself in the middle of the accident. But when she saw Shona at the hospital she knew she could be safe.
Jodie said: “The one time I try and get away I end up getting caught up in some massive accident. What are the chances?”
She added: “Then I saw you at the hospital and everything just made sense. It’s like it was meant to be. I think I knew I’d be safe with you.”
Shona has welcomed Jodie with open arms. She said: “No matter how bad things get. Life always puts you where you need to be. You’re going to be alright.”
Earlier this week, Jodie appeared to be getting endless text messages and voicemails from a mysterious contact. Viewers wondered if they could be from Graham.

But tonight, when Jodie was alone, viewers watched as she took a SIM card from her coat pocket and disposed of it in the kitchen bin. She smirked to herself as she erased her past and said: “I’m going to be more than alright.”
Some fans were wondering if Graham Foster had been calling Jodie and she has now cut ties.
Viewers think there is more to Jodie than meets the eye, with many suggesting she has an ulterior motive.
Taking to social media during tonight’s episode, one fan said: “I’m so here for whatever Jodie’s hiding and all her secrets being revealed.” Another said: “I don’t think I can handle another corrupt relative trying to destroy the Platts.”
Other fans have continued to rumble if Jodie is linked to Graham Foster from Emmerdale, as they spotted her travelling in the back of his van last week.
On X, one viewer said: “Imagine if Graham from #Emmerdale and Jodie are related?” as a second asked: “Will Jodie on #corrie at any time mentioned Graham from #emmerdale?”
Fans think there must be a link, with some suggesting they are related. One said: “This part with Jodie and Graham linked is really bugging me” and a second added: “I wonder if Jodie is Graham Foster’s daughter? Shona said that they’re half sisters so perhaps he’s her dad.”
