The man was pronounced dead at the scene, the A4174 in Longwell Green, following a collision with a car.
Formal identification has not yet taken place, but his next of kin have been informed.
Emergency services responded to the incident between Wraxall Road and Marsham Way shortly after 5:20 p.m.
The road was closed for investigation and vehicle recovery, reopening by 2:40 a.m on Thursday, January 15.
Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage – anyone with information is asked to call 101 and reference 5226012439.
