Horse No 1 IRON LEGION (J459) M Chadwick After being placed in the starting gates reared and got its right front leg over the starting gate for a short period.

IRON LEGION was removed from the barriers, examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to start.

After again being placed in the starting gates reared and then as a consequence was slow to begin.

The barrier manners of IRON LEGION were considered unacceptable.

The Stewards ruled that IRON LEGION will be required to attend barrier practice to the satisfaction of the Starter prior to performing satisfactorily in a barrier trial before being allowed to race again.

Held up for clear running making the Home Turn.

M Chadwick stated that the intention was to hold a more forward position but after being slow to begin he was unable to do so.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 2 FURY AND GOLD (H202) H Bentley From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Bumped near the 900 Metres.

H Bentley stated that after the horse made a wide run from the 800 Metres he became concerned with its action in the Home Straight and as a result he did not fully ride it out to the finish of the event.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Before being allowed to race again, FURY AND GOLD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 3 ON THE LASH (J182) L Ferraris L Ferraris stated that from barrier 1 his mount jumped awkwardly, shifted out and made contact with LEATHER MASTER and as a consequence was unable to lead.

He said, in his opinion, ON THE LASH is better suited when being able to dictate in front.

Trainer P N Ng concurred with the views expressed by Jockey Ferraris.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 4 PERFECT PAIRING (J331) D B McMonagle Jumped only fairly.

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Over the final 50 Metres was held up for clear running behind GOLDEN FAIRY.

Horse No 5 ROMANTIC FANTASY (H168) A Badel Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 7 MEEPMEEP (H234) B Avdulla B Avdulla stated that his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event and did not finish the race off in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its right front leg.

Before being allowed to race again, MEEPMEEP will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 9 SMART BEAUTY (G477) J Orman Bumped on jumping.

Between the 300 Metres and the 100 Metres was held up for clear running.

Horse No 10 SUPER HONG KONG (D241) K Teetan Bumped at the start.

Near the 900 Metres shifted out and made contact with FURY AND GOLD.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 11 CHATEAU LE PECHE (H471) C L Chau Bumped on jumping.

For some distance near the 600 Metres raced tight to the inside of MEEPMEEP after obtaining a narrow run to the inside of that runner.

Passing the 100 Metres C L Chau dropped his left rein for a number of strides.

Horse No 12 COOL BLUE (H011) Z Purton Jumped only fairly.

Held up for clear running between the 500 Metres and the 150 Metres.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 13 GOLD TACK (H106) M F Poon Blundered on jumping.

Horse No 14 LEATHER MASTER (H034) M Guyon Bumped on the hindquarters on jumping.
