Alessandro Circati put in another strong performance in defence for Parma in Serie A, as CommBank Socceroos found the net in England over the weekend.

Beginning in Italy’s Serie A, Alessandro Circati (cap #637) contributed to another clean sheet for Parma as they drew 0-0 with Genoa on Monday morning. 

In the EFL Championship, Sam Silvera (cap #634) was in top form for Middlesbrough in their 3-2 away win against West Bromwich Albion. Silvera played a full game and picked up a goal and an assist on Saturday night. Silvera has four goal contributions in his last three matches in what has been a strong start to 2026 for the winger.
 

Continuing the goalscoring trend in England, September window call-up Adrian Segecic scored the winner for Portsmouth as they edged out Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 on Sunday morning. 
 

Elsewhere on Sunday morning in the competition, Callum Elder (cap #614) played all of Derby’s 1-0 win against Preston North End and Cameron Burgess (cap #633) played a full game for Swansea City in a 1-1 draw with Birmingham City.

Nestory Irankunda (cap #643) came on in the 66th minute for Watford in a 2-0 loss to Millwall on Saturday night. 

In Spain’s La Liga, Maty Ryan (cap #555) was in goal for Levante’s 2-0 loss to Real Madrid on Sunday morning. Despite the defeat, Ryan produced a strong performance in goal, making nine saves against the title-chasing Real. 

Over in the Netherlands on Monday, Jordy Bos (cap #632) played all of Feyenoord’s 4-3 loss to Sparta Rotterdam, while Ajdin Hrustic (cap #589) played a full game for Heracles as they lost 2-0 to Twente. 

On Sunday morning, Max Balard (cap #652) played all of NAC Breda’s 4-3 loss to NEC Nijmegen.

There were several Socceroos involved in Scottish Cup ties over the weekend. 

Martin Boyle (cap #599) came on in the 75th minute of Hibernian’s 1-0 loss to Dunfermline Athletic on Saturday night, while Ryan Strain (cap #624) was subbed on in the 73rd minute of Dundee United’s 2-0 win against Ayr United on Sunday morning. 

Also, Apostolos Stamatelopoulos (cap #644) played 59 minutes as Motherwell beat Ross County 1-0 on Sunday, and Ryan McGowan (cap #546) played all of Livingston’s penalty defeat to St Mirren. 

Finally, Nicolas Milanovic (cap #651) played 68 minutes for Aberdeen in a 2-0 loss to Rangers. 

Joe Gauci (cap #631) was on the bench for Port Vale in a 3-0 loss to Mansfield Town on Sunday morning in EFL League One. 

Also in League One, Alex Robertson (cap #630) played 78 minutes for Cardiff City as they beat Bradford City 2-1 on Saturday night. Cardiff are six points clear at the top of the table. 

In EFL League Two, Gethin Jones (cap #639) continued his run of starts, playing a full game as MK Dons picked up a 2-0 win against Accrington Stanley on Sunday. 

Back in Spain, Awer Mabil (cap #597) opened the scoring for Castellon in a 2-0 win against Leganes on Saturday night, playing 68 minutes. Castellon sit third in La Liga 2 and are in the hunt for promotion to the top flight in Spain.  

Concluding the action in Thailand, Kenny Dougall (cap #608) played a full game for Buriram United in an 8-1 win against Chiangrai United on Sunday night. United are 12 points clear at the top of the Thai League, with 12 games to play.
