A Devon pub that featured on a Channel 4 TV show has closed “until further notice” after a wall partially collapsed.
The Thorverton Arms, at Thorverton, near Exeter, posted on Facebook that the gable end of the building had started to cave in.
The pub, which featured on Four in a Bed, said School Lane has also been shut because of the incident.
Speaking to DevonLive, a spokesperson said the kitchen and restaurant were both on the gable end side of the building and could not safely function.
The pub added that it was “really really sad” to be closed and it did not know when it might be able to reopen.

Posting on Facebook, the pub said: “It is with regret that The Thorverton Arms will be closed until further notice.
“The gable end is at risk and is collapsing. As tenants, Stonegate [who manages pubs across the UK] are dealing with the situation and supporting us.
“School Lane is about to be closed, so please feel free to use our car park and be advised by the school about alternative routes to collect your children.
“Sincere apologies.”
The Thorverton Arms appeared on the Channel 4 show Four in a Bed in March 2025.
Husband and wife Steve and Amanda Plumridge featured on the programme having previously rejected the chance to appear. They took over the pub in 2022.
Amanda, who is also known as Mandy, said before the show aired: “We say we are a hub, not a pub.”
