No Arsenal fan agrees on every topic, but the majority of supporters align when it comes to wanting to see Eberechi Eze play more.
There was such elation in the summer when Arsenal hijacked Tottenham’s deal to sign Eze, seeing a boyhood Gooner make his dreams come true.
A pinch-me moment happened in real-time when Eze walked out at the Emirates for the first time, but it’s fair to say that reality has hit in a way no one really anticipated.
Six times already this season, the summer signing has been an unused substitute, and fans are becoming frustrated.

Mikel Arteta answers when asked what Eberechi Eze needs to do to play at Arsenal
Amid a lack of creativity in Arsenal’s attack, all that supporters want to see is a streak of unpredictability, something we know Eze offers.
Instead, Mikel Arteta retains trust in his captain, despite the fact that Martin Odegaard is not performing at a high enough level right now.
After the Nottingham Forest draw, many asked themselves, what more does Eze have to do, and ahead of the Inter Milan clash, one journalist put the question to Arteta.
Arteta responded, but irritatingly, didn’t give much away at all.
“It depends on the game, depends on the type of opponent that we see and then performances,” Arteta said.
“Throughout the game, we see things we can do, how we can help the position more, and we have the ability to change that.”
As a fan myself, I’d respond to the Arsenal manager’s explanation by asking why, when Arsenal were poor in attack against Forest, Mikel Merino was introduced ahead of Eze when Odegaard was hooked?
Arsenal need to find a balance between control and excitement
Arteta is the boss, and Arsenal are top of the Premier League for a reason, but when the football is so tedious in the final third, all could see that an injection of a player of Eze’s quality could have better influenced the game.

If there’s one thing we’ve learned about Arteta’s Arsenal, it’s that control tops everything.
It’s worked, as Thierry Henry made clear when speaking about Arsenal’s title chances, stating that Arteta has found a way to win.
That being said, Arsenal have control ingrained into them, so there’s room to venture outside of the restraints at times, particularly when games need to be won.
Some balance between control and excitement is needed right now, something several tweaks to the squad, including Eze, could support.
