Horsforth residents have decided the new name for a community building at The Green.
Work began to transform the building into a new multi-use community hub at 3 The Green last July.
Before Christmas Horsforth Town Council offered residents a choice of three names for the new building, which will provide a home for events, meetings, activities and community groups.
After counting the votes, the town council this week announced the winning name as ‘Horsforth Community Centre’.
Other names considered included 3 The Green Community Centre and The Horsforth Green Centre.
The new facility is based in the building next to Horsforth Museum and its opening is scheduled for April 2026. WLD reported last October that residents face an approximate 3.8% precept rise, or an additional 77p per Band D property annually, to help cover the costs.
