A police cordon is in place at a block of flats in Bristol after an overnight fire.
The blaze, in Angers Road, broke out overnight between Tuesday, January 20 and Wednesday, January 21.
Fire crews from Bedminster, Hicks Gate, Avonmouth and Southmead responded to the incident to extinguish the fire.
Photos captured at the scene show huge flames pouring out from a top-floor flat as residents evacuated the building.
Sharing a post to social media, one local resident said: “We bundled our cats into their carriers and evacuated the building.
“By that point the stairwell was full of smoke and the double windows on the flat that was on fire had blown out and then fell off the building as we ran past.”
Both the police and the fire service have been contacted for more details.
