Stuart Ralston’s latest Edinburgh opening, Vinette, has been added to the Michelin Guide just three months after its October 2025 launch. The Parisian-style wine bar and bistro is part of the newly formed Aizle Hospitality Group, launched in 2025 following the closure of his original restaurant, Aizle, and includes Michelin-starred Lyla, and Bib Gourmand-holders Noto and Tipo.
Vinette occupies the former Fhior site on Broughton Street and is operated in partnership with co-owner Jade Johnston. The kitchen is led by Ralston’s brother, Calum Ralston, with a focus on modern European dishes using Scottish produce. The venue is paired with their speakeasy‑style cocktail bar, Vivien, downstairs.
The Michelin Guide described Vinette as a “cosy and intimate wine-led bistro” with “flavoursome, confidently cooked dishes” and a wine list “full of character.” The group’s expansion and consistent Guide recognition signals growing confidence in Edinburgh’s high-end casual market and continued appetite for chef-led hospitality.
