Paddy Dingle makes a threat to kill in Thursday’s Emmerdale, as revealed in an exclusive preview clip.

Shared exclusively with The Mirror, the short teaser shows the moment Paddy refuses to be threatened by villain Ray Walters. It leads to a tense exchange as Ray attacks Paddy, after making a sinister threat.

Amid Ray targeting Bear, Dylan and April, he lines up a new target and Paddy sees red. As the pair clash, Paddy vows to kill Ray, but does this prove he’s Ray’s killer?

The scenes air as part of the special flashback week amid the Ray whodunnit, after his body was found in a recent episode. on Thursday, we finally find out how Ray died and who killed him, as well as the reason.

In the clip, that follows on from their exchange on Wednesday night about Paddy’s father Bear, Paddy makes a decision. Refusing to let Ray get away, he reveals he’s going to call the police on him.

He shares: “No. I’m not walking away. What kind of son would I be?” Ray rushes over to him, having threatened Dylan’s safety to stop Paddy from speaking out.

Realising this hasn’t worked he changes tactic, and instead threatens Paddy’s young daughter Eve. As Ray says: “What about your little girl?” Paddy snaps, telling him: “Shut up. Don’t say her name.”

It’s then that he grabs Ray and pulls him forward, with the threatening words: “I’ll kill ya!” But Ray gets the upper hand and attacks Paddy, leaving him screaming out in pain.

Ray issues another threat at Eve, telling Paddy: “If you call the police I cannot guarantee that little Eve won’t get hurt.” He makes a comment about Paddy “abandoning” his father Bear, before telling him: “Forget we ever met.”

With that, Paddy gets away and flees inside. But is this the last Paddy will see of him, or after his killer threat will he take his brutal revenge?

It comes after the end of Wednesday’s episode teased Ross Barton could be the killer, as he vowed to make Ray pay over his treatment towards April. Picking up a shotgun, the character looked prepared to action and fans think he will be Ray’s killer.

One fan said: “Ross killed Ray????” as another agreed: “Surely Ross killed Ray?” A third fan posted: “Marlon, being a proud dad, reluctantly let Ross go and do the dirty work.”

A further post asked: “Did he kill Ray?” Another said: “I’m looking at Ross – I know spoilers last week teased he had a gun and could be a suspect and I think it’s plausible.”
