A British woman’s life was allegedly saved after an unlikely 999 call was made by Donald Trump’s youngest son Barron. The US President’s son reportedly “saved her life” after he allegedly witnessed the East London woman being brutally attacked during a FaceTime call and dialled 999 from the USA.
The 19-year-old was reportedly speaking to the woman in January 2025 when he witnessed her ex-boyfriend beating her, it was alleged to an East London court.
Barron called the emergency services from the States, alerting police to the alleged attack taking place on the other side of the Atlantic. The woman’s ex partner, 22-year-old former MMA fighter Matvei Rumiantsev, is currently on trial for the alleged attack.
Russian-born East Londoner Rumiantsev is facing a series of charges including assault, actual bodily harm, two counts of rape, intentional strangulation and perverting the course of justice. Prosecutors have alleged that Rumiantsev was furiously jealous of the woman’s friendship with Barron Trump, which led to the attack on January 18 last year, reports The Mirror.

The court heard Rumiantsev allegedly grabbed the woman by her hair and pushed her to the ground, shouted “you are not worth anything” before kicking her in the stomach and taunting her with misogynistic insults. Jurors also heard a recording of Barron’s 999 call, in which he pleaded with the operator: “It’s really an emergency, please. I got a call from her with a guy beating her up.” At one point, the emergency operator said: “Can you stop being rude and actually answer my questions… If you want to help the person, you’ll answer my questions clearly and precisely.”
Barron replied: “I met her on social media. She’s getting really badly beat up and the call was about eight minutes ago, I don’t know what could have happened by now.” He later added: “So sorry for being rude.”
Police arrived at the address and questioned the woman, which could be seen in bodycam footage played to the court, the Daily Mail reports. Police said someone in the US had called but had withheld his name.
She then told officers: “I am friends with Barron Trump, Donald Trump’s son.” One officer told a colleague: “So apparently this informant from America is likely to be Donald Trump’s son.” In front of the police, the woman called Barron, who was heard saying in the footage: “She called me. I picked up the phone expecting a nice hello or something. I just saw a ceiling and could hear screaming. I could see a guy’s head on the phone, and then the camera turns to her crying and getting hit.”
Barron claimed the call lasted between 10 and 15 seconds before being disconnected, which led him to call 999, reported the Independent. He told police: “I called you guys – that was the best thing I could do. I wasn’t going to call back and threaten things to him because that would just make the situation worse.”
The woman told the court: “He helped save my life. That call was like a sign from God at that moment.” The court heard that the woman and Rumiantsev had been in a relationship for around six months and that he had assaulted her including through strangulation after an argument.
Months on, the woman also alleged that Rumiantsev had raped her – for the first time in November 2024 and again a matter of hours before police arrived at his apartment on January 18. The MMA fighter has also been accused of attempting to pressure the woman into withdrawing her allegations.
According to the Metro, Rumiantsev’s barrister, Sasha Wass KC, contested the woman’s account in court, accusing her of making up her claims. The barrister also claimed that the defendant had simply acted to restrain the woman after she behaved “in an angry and violent way” towards him.
The Barrister said: “You invented this wholly untrue and fabricated account that he raped you on those two occasions – you were never raped.” The woman replied: “I didn’t invent that. That would be completely evil and disgraceful toward people who have been in that situation.” The trial continues.
