People hoping to catch some winter sun can fly to a popular destination with highs of up to 21C next month, from £25. Ryanair is operating direct flights from Liverpool to Lanzarote throughout next month, and potential holidaymakers may be able to bag a bargain.

There are around seven hours of sunshine per day and average high temperatures of 21C in Lanzarote in February. Comparatively, the average high temperature for February in Liverpool is 8C. Its year-round warm weather is one reason why Lanzarote is a popular holiday destination.

The island is known for its volcanic landscape, black sand beaches, and distinctive white architecture. The Lanzarote Tourism Board says: “Lanzarote is different than other sun and sea destinations. It’s an island where nature and art prevail.

“A place where the people are as warm as they are active and proud. Where the food tastes of the sea and the earth. Where the essence of the island leaves a mark on your soul long after you depart. That’s The Lanzarote Effect.”

Ryanair is offering one-way fares to Lanzarote throughout February from £25. Flights at this price are available on February 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 19, 23, and 24.

Depending on the date chosen, flights either depart at 6.15am, 1.55pm, 2.30pm or 2.50pm. It takes four hours and ten minutes to get there and there is no time difference from the UK.

Return flights also start from £25, meaning you could book a round-trip from Liverpool John Lennon Airport for £50.
