Gripping BBC drama Vigil, which was filmed in Glasgow, made its debut in 2021, captivating audiences as Detective Chief Inspector Amy Silva investigated a suspicious death aboard a nuclear-powered submarine whilst navigating obstacles from the Royal Navy, MI5, and crew members alike.
The second series saw Amy deployed to the Al-Shawka Air Base in the Kingdom of Wudyan, where she exposed a far-reaching conspiracy.
The BBC swiftly commissioned a third series, which will see Amy examining the death of a British Special Forces officer at an Arctic research station.
Now, lead actress Suranne Jones has provided an exciting update for eager fans awaiting the show’s return.
