Britain’s Got Talent fans were left confused on Saturday after magician Teddy Magic did not return to the stage for the second live semi-final of the seriesBGT: Ant and Dec reveal act ‘isn’t ready’
Britain’s Got Talent enthusiasts were left asking “what’s going on” after a disappointing update regarding youngster Teddy Magic.
The popular talent competition was back on screen on Saturday night (May 3), showcasing the second live semi-final of the series, with another eight diverse acts vying for a spot in the coveted grand finale.
Magician Alexandra Burgio, dancers Cheer re Mans, magician and dancer Jannick Holste, singer John Pierce, dancers Lil M’s, guitarist Olly Pearson, singer Stacey Leadbeatter and impressionist Will Burns were all set to take to the stage.
However, at the start of the show, hosts Ant and Dec didn’t provide an update on young magician Teddy Magic after he failed to perform last week.
In the first semi-final, Dec mentioned a “little change of plan” while Ant conveyed that Teddy wasn’t quite prepared backstage, reports Belfast Live.

During a brief discussion with the judging panel, the duo assured viewers they would circle back to Teddy’s act later in the show.
As the semi-final approached its end, Dec eventually shared that Teddy wouldn’t be gracing the stage that evening, stating: “[Teddy] won’t be performing tonight but we hope to see him later on in the series.”
It was expected that he might perform in another semi-final, but it was confirmed earlier this week that Teddy wasn’t part of tonight’s line-up.
During tonight’s live show, BGT viewers quickly took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their confusion after no update was shared on the youngster, with one person writing: “No Teddy Magic tonight again? What’s going on?”
“Bring back Teddy Magic!” one viewer exclaimed, while another asked: “Another Teddy no show.”

Concern for the absent act was clear as a fourth person queried: “All I want to know is Teddy okay after last week live show drama?”
Echoing the sentiment, another fan shared: “I love teddy magic he is not on the semi finals 2nd week where is he guys???”
A sixth viewer chimed in: “Well this is not going much better than last week as the first act didn’t get on till 10 minutes in, and they still haven’t told us what’s going with Teddy Magic at least not really!”
Elsewhere on tonight’s show, Simon Cowell was given control of the coveted golden buzzer, which can send one act straight through to the final.
Last week’s semi-final saw dance troupe The Blackouts receive Amanda Holden’s golden buzzer, while Scottish singer Vinnie McKee earned the highest number of public votes.
