Sheffield Wednesday are bracing themselves for the loss of talisman Barry Bannan.
The Owls captain was reported to have told teammates that yesterday’s game at Bristol City would be his last for the club.
The 36-year-old midfielder is a Wednesday legend. He has made 435 league appearances since joining in 2015.
The former Scotland international, whose deal expires at the end of the season, has been linked with a move to promotion-chasing Millwall.
