Horse No 2 SPARKLING FELLOW (K175) Z Purton Jumped only fairly.

When questioned Z Purton stated that after holding a position behind midfield he had some difficulty obtaining clear running between the 500 Metres and the 300 Metres when being shifted to the outside of YEE CHEONG GLORY.

He said after obtaining clear running to the outside of YEE CHEONG GLORY near the 250 Metres SPARKLING FELLOW commenced to respond well to his hands and heels riding and when he was satisfied the horse was at its top being ridden in this manner, he continued to ride the horse hands and heels to the winning post, particularly when racing tight to the outside of the winner GOLD PATCH.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 3 TOP THRONE (K116) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly.

Near the 300 Metres made contact with BULLISH PRIDE due to both runners shifting ground.

L Ferraris stated that the horse was disadvantaged by racing towards the centre of the track.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a “roarer” which had previously been reported.

Horse No 4 YEE CHEONG GLORY (K074) M Chadwick Jumped only fairly.

Horse No 5 SKY CAP (K125) E C W Wong When questioned Apprentice E C W Wong stated that his mount hung in throughout the race and when placed under pressure over the final 300 Metres proved difficult to ride out, resulting in him having to correct his mount on a number of occasions.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 6 SPICY SPEEDY (K581) C Y Ho Shifted in at the start and was bumped.

Horse No 7 BEAUTY GEMINI (L129) A Badel Jumped awkwardly.

Horse No 8 GOLD PATCH (L099) J McDonald Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 9 KWAI CHUNG TALENTS (L144) M L Yeung Bumped on jumping.

Horse No 11 LIVE WIRE (L142) M Guyon Bumped on jumping.

Approaching the 250 Metres was steadied when crowded between SPICY SPEEDY and SKY CAP (Apprentice E C W Wong) which hung in.

Whilst the Stewards were satisfied that Apprentice Wong had made some effort to prevent his mount from shifting ground, he was reprimanded and advised that in similar circumstances he would be expected to make a greater effort than he did on this occasion and stop riding and straighten his mounts.

Horse No 12 VIVA BOSS (L139) K C Leung Kicked a rail in the Parade Ring, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.

Jumped awkwardly.

Horse No 13 BULLISH PRIDE (K181) A Atzeni Near the 300 Metres made contact with TOP THRONE due to both runners shifting ground.

Horse No 14 ENJOY GOLF (J222) H Bentley Bumped at the start.
