On International Day of Clean Energy, the European Union Delegation in Afghanistan says it supports renewable energy projects in this country.

The European Union Delegation said in a message on Monday, January 26, that amid the climate crisis, it is strengthening several projects for sustainable solutions through solar energy.

Afghanistan is among the 10 countries most vulnerable to climate change.

This country has faced drought for four consecutive years.

Various United Nations agencies used solar energy in the past year to generate electricity and provide clean water in different provinces of Afghanistan.
