Horse No 1 ISLAND BREEZES (J479) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly.

Horse No 2 SPICY SPANGLE (J087) K C Leung Bumped at the start.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 3 HAPPY BOYS (J545) D B McMonagle On jumping was steadied when crowded by TURF PHOENIX which shifted out abruptly.

Horse No 4 SAVVY TWINKLE (K067) Z Purton Bumped at the start.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 5 CONCORDE STAR (J344) J Orman Bumped at the start.

Near the 450 Metres was bumped by TURF PHOENIX which shifted out slightly and as a result blundered.

Near the 100 Metres was hampered when taken wider by MODEST GENTLEMAN.

J Orman stated that although his mount was bumped near the 450 Metres and again near the 350 Metres he was of the opinion the horse would be better suited by being stepped up in distance to 1200 Metres.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 7 SKY SONG (J159) H Bowman On jumping was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced.

H Bowman stated that after being crossed by SMART ENGINEER near the 500 Metres his mount did not travel well thereafter before giving ground in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 8 TURF PHOENIX (J294) H T Mo Jumped awkwardly and made contact with the left side of its starting gate.

As a result TURF PHOENIX then shifted out and made heavy contact with HAPPY BOYS.

Shifted out near the 450 Metres and was bumped.

Bumped near the 300 Metres.

Near the 150 Metres, when giving ground, was steadied when crowded between MODEST GENTLEMAN and CONCORDE STAR, both of which shifted ground.

Horse No 9 ORIENTAL SURPRISE (K028) B Avdulla From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 350 Metres and the 250 Metres.

Horse No 10 SMART ENGINEER (K244) D Probert D Probert stated that he was given the option of taking up a forward position.

Trainer K W Lui confirmed the instructions issued and stated that with blinkers being applied for the first time he had asked for the horse to be ridden forward.

Horse No 11 MODEST GENTLEMAN (G352) M Chadwick Bumped at the start.

From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Held up for clear running making the Home Turn and near the 300 Metres improved into a narrow run between MULTIDUTCH and TURF PHOENIX and as a result made contact with TURF PHOENIX.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 12 GLORIOUS EXPERT (J028) H Bentley Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
