“The property benefits from double-glazing throughout and central heating – it otherwise requires comprehensive renovation.”

The house was one of several long empty properties across the District that had been purchased by the Council as part of a push to get these homes back into use.

A condition of the sale is that the buyer will have to renovate the property “to a habitable condition for occupation as a dwelling house” within a period of 12 months.

If the buyer does not do this, the Council will have the option to buy back the property.
