Police want to speak to a man after a dog was stabbed during an altercation between two men in a Sheffield suburb.
South Yorkshire Police confirmed that an altercation had occurred between two men in Spital Hall in the city centre on December 19, 2024. One of the men owned a dog. It is alleged that one of the men pulled out a knife and stabbed the dog in its neck.
A dog handler attended and seized the dog. The police took the dog to the vets and it remains in police kennels where it is recovering well.
The man who police would like to speak to is described as black, of average build and is around 5ft 11ins tall. He has black Afro hair with shaved sides.
