Victoria Beckham talks about young Brooklyn’s dream girl
Brooklyn Beckham previously confessed he wants a girlfriend who ‘looks just like Mummy’ in a sweet, unearthed video clip.
The 26 year old eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham recently unleashed a furious and lengthy statement slamming his parents, and made claims about their treatment of his girlfriend Nicola Peltz. In the wake of the sad family fallout, in which Brooklyn said he “does not want to reconcile” with his family, a throwback video which gives an insight into Victoria and Brooklyn’s once close bond has come to light.
The video, which was taken from Victoria’ reality series Victoria Beckham: Coming to America, which originally aired in 2007 shows her sharing a sweet anecdote about her son. It opens with Victoria, sporting her once-iconic bleach blonde a-symmetric bob, holding her phone while sat in the back of the car while telling the story.

In the clip, she explains: “Brooklyn phoned me this morning; he kissed his girlfriend. And I said, ‘What kind of girlfriend are you looking for Brooklyn?’, and he said, ‘I want someone who looks just like Mummy’.” While they clearly once had a close bond, fast-forward nearly 20 years later and things have sadly turned sour between the mother and son.
While Brooklyn’s statement slammed both his parents much of the attention has been placed on his fallout with Victoria, due to one element of the explosive share – in which he accused his mum of “hijacking” his first dance with his bride and dancing “inappropriately on” him. In the statement, he claimed: “My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song.
“In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead. She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone.
“I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.” The claim has gained huge attention, with wedding guests coming forward and speaking out about the alleged “hijacked” dance, as phones were banned from the ceremony, which means only one video of the dance exists – and is understood to be owned by Brooklyn himself.
One guest to come forward includes DJ Fat Tony, who appeared on This Morning to share what he had witnessed in 2022. He confirmed Nicola was in floods of tears, and said of the dance: “There was no slut dropping, there was no PVC catsuit, there was no Spice Girls actions. The word inappropriate – why I said it was inappropriate as well because it was the timing.”

“What happened was – basically, Marc Anthony was performing on stage, he then called Brooklyn onto the stage. Everyone is expecting Nicola to go up and do the first dance and then Marc asks the most beautiful woman in the room to come to the stage, then he said: “Victoria come to the stage.”
“At that point, Brooklyn is devastated because he thought he was going to do his first dance with his wife. Nicola leaves the room crying her eyes out. Marc says, “Put your hands on your mother’s hips!” It was a latin thing and that whole situation was awkward for everyone in the room.”
