St Gemma’s Hospice Winter Ball

More than 300 guests gathered at the Royal Armouries in Leeds for the St Gemma’s Hospice annual Winter Ball. The event, which had a glamorous, Parisian theme, returned in spectacular style.

The ball raised an outstanding £92,000, all of which will help fund the hospice’s vital services providing specialist end-of-life care and support to local people and their families.

Guests enjoyed a premium dining experience, live entertainment and a programme celebrating the compassionate work carried out by St Gemma’s teams across the community.

Following this year’s success, St Gemma’s Hospice has confirmed the Winter Ball will return in November 2026. St Gemma’s is the world’s first University Teaching Hospice and works to improve the care of those approaching the end of life through integrated research, teaching and clinical practice.

It offers a range of palliative and end-of-life training and education programmes for healthcare professionals, including free and funded places..
