Derby County have secured the services of forward Jaydon Banel on a loan deal that runs until the end of the 2025/26 season.

The Dutch youth international has joined Head Coach John Eustace’s ranks from Premier League side Burnley.

Banel signed for the Clarets on a four-year deal from Eredivisie giants Ajax in February 2025, having risen through the youth system with the Dutch club.

The 21-year-old has since made five first-team outings for Burnley, including a 28-minute cameo against the Rams in Round Two of the Carabao Cup at Turf Moor back in August 2025.

Banel scored his first goal for Burnley in their 5-1 Emirates FA Cup Third Round victory over Sky Bet Championship side Millwall earlier this month.

The loan to the Rams will see Banel gain his first in-depth experience of English football since heading to Turf Moor.

Welcome to Derby County, Jaydon!
