Bristol City have signed Seb Naylor from Manchester City for an undisclosed fee.

The 20-year-old defender has put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half-year deal.

Joining Manchester City at the age of eight, Naylor signed scholarship terms in 2022, progressing into the Under-18s, winning the FA Youth Cup in 2023/24.

Moving into the club’s Elite Development squad the following season, he featured 19 times as the side won the Premier League 2 title in 2024/25.

This season, Naylor has featured 10 times for Manchester City’s Under-21s.

Speaking on his excitement of signing for City, Naylor said: “I thought it was too good to turn down.”

“Everyone’s made me feel so welcome, it is such a homely place.

“All the boys are lovely, and I had a good chat with the manager yesterday and it’ll be great to get on the grass training with him.”

Technical Director Brian Tinnion added: “Seb’s an exciting young player who we’re looking forward to seeing develop over the next few years.

“He has all the qualities we look for in a player and has the right personality and drive to fit into the squad.”

Naylor will wear the number 24.
