Today’s Horse Racing Betting Tips – Thursday 29th January Click to view: Today’s Cards, Odds, Results and MoreOur Staking Plan

Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Do be aware that betting on horse racing is difficult to win consistently, that’s why we only use the best analysts and tipsters in the UK and Ireland to give their advice on this page. Previous performance is no guarantee of future success and you should only bet with what you can afford to lose.

Tip 1 – 1:13 Ayr – Apples Jane

Sean Bowen, Gordon Elliott and Apple’s Jade’s first foal. There is a lot of hype about this one and so far she hasn’t got off the mark. She has shown some promise however so the ability is in there. There is no doubt the owners want to get some number 1s on the board for breeding purposes so her being sent over on the ferry catches the eye.

Sovereign Wealth bolted up to win a weak-looking novice earlier this month as a 2/9 favourite and looks one to lay. Space Invasion won at the first time of asking over course and distance in a maiden earlier this month and could step up further from an opening mark of 80. The Richard Hannon yard is in great nick with two winners and three places from his last seven to post.

Enda Bolger looked to have another exciting recruit to hunter chases in Keep On Dreaming, who was expected to make short work of his rivals at Limerick over the festive season. He was a well-beaten favourite that day – a run surprising enough to prompt a check by vets after the race. No reason for the poor run could be found and he’s worth another chance in what looks a very weak race.

Atreides comes into this one after seeing a hat trick bid come to an early end over course and distance last month when he unseated jockey Bradley Harris, but that shouldn’t detract from the impressive performances earlier in the month when he won over this distance twice in a row. The second of those was on heavy ground so that shouldn’t be an issue today either.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundreds and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).

Where Can I Watch the Daily Horse Racing Selections Run?

The best place is always on the racecourse but that’s not very practical so when it’s not on terrestrial TV with the likes of Sky Sports Racing and ITV (or ITV 4) then the best way to get instant access to live pictures is with a live streaming bookmaker – try these three below for the best of the bunch. We’ve also got a page specifically dedicated to Cheltenham Festival live streaming.
