Viewers of Good Morning Britain confessed to “switching off” on Friday morning as Ranvir Singh and Kate Garraway took the helm. The pair step in at the end of the week, filling the shoes of regular hosts Ed Balls and Susanna Reid.

However, just minutes into the programme, viewers took to social media to voice their complaints about the show being “too loud”, rendering it “unwatchable”. One disgruntled viewer vented on Twitter: “I’ve had to turn GMB off, the noise from those presenting is hurting and irritating, turn them down.”

Another echoed similar sentiments: “#gmb Good timing. That’s it for today, seen the Lovely Laura quickly, no time for the rest of the presenters. How are they on prime time TV? It sounds like Kwasi is around, so we’re off to the BBC before he pops up anyway. We are not interested in a useless chancellor’s opinions on anything.”

A third person chimed in: “The talking over the top of each other is getting worse. It’s becoming unwatchable, especially on a Friday.@GMB #GMB.”

Another viewer added: “@GMB the interrupting each other and the hosts battling to speak and be the main character is so annoying! ! Fridays are a headache. #gmb.”, reports the Express.

Ranvir recently assumed the full-time presenting role every Friday following a series of format changes to ITV Daytime shows.

The pairing of the two women marks a departure from ITV’s traditional mixed-gender presenting teams, such as Susanna Reid and Ed Balls.

Another shift is the extension of GMB’s running time by half an hour per episode, now airing from 6am to 9.30am. The duration will be further extended by another 30 minutes on days when Lorraine isn’t broadcast.

This follows last year’s announcement by the broadcaster of significant changes to its daytime schedule, affecting GMB, Loose Women, Lorraine, and This Morning.

As part of the reshuffle, Loose Women will return to its former slot of 12.30pm to 1.30pm on a “seasonal basis” for 30 weeks.

Good Morning Britain has also relocated, now broadcasting from a new site in central London at the ITV headquarters, moving away from the iconic Television Centre in West London.
