Emmerdale left viewers reeling with a jaw-dropping cliffhanger on Friday’s instalment as two corpses were unearthed in the village.
Devoted fans will remember how villainous duo Ray Walters and Celia Daniels terrorised the community last year, targeting youngsters April Windsor and Dylan Penders whilst coercing them into dreadful circumstances to clear alleged debts.
Simultaneously, the depraved couple imprisoned Bear Wolf on Celia’s property in a disturbing contemporary slavery storyline.
Bear, along with fellow trapped casualties including Anya, were forced to toil under fabricated debts on the estate, though despite Ray’s mind games, he forged an unexpected bond with his kidnapper.
Last year, Ruby Milligan stumbled upon Anya when she concealed herself in a vehicle whilst attempting to flee her abductors. Recognising her poor health and oblivious to her plight under Celia’s control, Ruby extended accommodation to her, reports the Daily Star.
Nevertheless, Caleb alternatively presented her with £10,000 to depart, which she accepted before leaving the village. Tragically though, Ray tracked her down and Anya subsequently perished when Ray declined to transport her to hospital.

Celia and Ray forced Bear to bury Anya on Moira’s farmland. Since that time, Bear has successfully fled the property whilst Ray murdered Celia earlier this month before Bear killed him whilst defending his son Paddy Kirk and Dylan from his savage rampage.
Earlier this week, Ruby spotted Bear searching for Anya’s burial site, sensing something was awry. Following her police alert, they proceeded to Moira’s farm for examination.
As Friday’s episode drew to a close, viewers witnessed a harrowing discovery – a body unearthed whilst Ruby dissolved into tears. But in a chilling twist, a second body emerged…
Left hanging on a dramatic cliffhanger, next week’s spoilers tease what’s in store as Moira faces charges for a double homicide.
In forthcoming scenes, Moira and Cain Dingle are gobsmacked when they’re hauled off for murder right before their children’s eyes. Down at the station, Cain keeps mum during questioning and walks free without any charges.
Conversely, Moira insists throughout her interrogation that Celia framed her, only to be floored when DS Walsh drops the bombshell that Celia herself was one of the victims.

Later, Paddy and Dylan are troubled when DS Walsh arrives for a chat, worried that Bear will accidentally reveal his part in Ray’s death(Image: ITV)
Panic sets in for Moira as she grasps the mountain of evidence pointing her way, particularly when it emerges that one victim was wrapped in her own blanket.
The situation deteriorates further when DS Walsh discloses that Moira’s DNA was discovered on the blanket shrouding Anya, leaving Moira utterly shellshocked to be slapped with murder charges for both Celia and Anya.
Meanwhile, Ruby, consumed by remorse over Anya’s fate, crosses paths with Paddy and Bear. An anguished Bear Wolf recounts Anya’s dying moments, noting that Ray attempted to save her, prompting Ruby to explode viciously, insisting Ray deserved an agonising, prolonged demise.
Witnessing Bear crumbling under guilt, Paddy forcibly ejects Ruby and slams the door shut. Subsequently, Paddy and Dylan grow uneasy when DS Walsh drops by for a discussion, anxious that Bear might inadvertently expose his involvement in Ray’s death.
DS Walsh interrogates a bewildered and upset Bear regarding Anya, with Bear confessing that he excavated her burial site for Ray. Paddy becomes alarmed and terminates the questioning when Bear grows agitated and muddled about the blanket Anya was shrouded in.
Emmerdale continues on weekdays at 8pm on ITV and ITV X.
