Newcastle United have just been handed a huge opportunity to bolster their squad in the summer transfer window.
With Paul Mitchell set to be let off the leash, the upcoming transfer window could be huge for the Magpies, who are ready to bring in much more quality.
Newcastle United are in a strong position to spend this summer thanks to positive financial accounts and a sensible approach to recent transfer windows. Player sales have been the focus in the last 18 months, but now Eddie Howe is expected to be graced with new arrivals.
The Newcastle head coach has done an excellent job with a depleted squad this season. The 47-year-old was forced to see Yankuba Minteh and Elliot Anderson leave Newcastle due to huge PSR troubles.
In January, Newcastle allowed Miguel Almiron and Lloyd Kelly to leave without signing replacements, leaving multiple positions down to the bare bones for the remainder of the season.
With Newcastle preparing to spend this summer, a new report has stated that the Magpies can now sign two England internationals after a new development.

Marc Guehi to Newcastle was a big story during the 2024 summer transfer window. For a large part of the summer, it looked like the England international was going to move to Tyneside. However, Crystal Palace rejected several bids from Newcastle for Guehi, and the club captain stayed in London for the 2024/25 campaign.
This summer, Palace realised Guehi will leave the club, with Newcastle still interested in the 24-year-old.
While the Magpies have been heavily linked with Guehi, they could still sign Palace attacker Eberechi Eze.
According to the Sun, Eagles boss Oliver Glasner has given his blessing to the sales of both Guehi and Eze this summer, to give him some much-needed funds to overhaul their squad.
Guehi only has 12 months left on his existing contract, with the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur set to rival the Magpies for his signature.
From Eze’s perspective, the 26-year-old has a £60m release clause which can be activated by clubs at the end of the season. Glasner is believed to be relaxed about their futures as he is planning on making serious changes to his side.
Newcastle United’s new stance on signing Marc Guehi
Mitchell was left embarrassed by Palace after Guehi’s rejection, but the 43-year-old could have the last laugh this summer.
Geordie Boot Boys understand that Newcastle are still in the picture for Guehi, with the defender set to cost less than £50m this summer.
After enduring a slow start to the season, Palace enjoyed a good run of form under Glasner, which now sees them challenging for one of the final European places.
Newcastle fans joked about signing Guehi after he scored two own goals against the Magpies both home and away this season.
