Construction has begun on more than 100 new homes near Glasgow. Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has confirmed that works have started at Manse View in Bargeddie, Lanarkshire.
The project, which was granted planning permission by North Lanarkshire Council last year, will see 117 homes constructed in the community, with the first release of homes for sale set to in early March 2026.
Included in the development will be a central green park and play area, creating a focal point for residents, as well as bug hotels, bee bricks, bird boxes and hedgehog highways to help maintain biodiversity and support wildlife in the area.
Martin Findlay, Technical Director at Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, said: “We’re pleased that construction is now fully underway at Manse View.
“This is an exciting moment for our team and the Bargeddie community as we move closer to launching our new range of homes, designed to offer more choice, quality, and energy efficiency for buyers.
“Our return to Bargeddie reflects our long-term commitment to North Lanarkshire, and we look forward to welcoming prospective homeowners as the first homes of our new range are launched for sale in the coming weeks.”
