U.S. Marshals, the sequel Robert Downey Jr called “the worst action movie of all time”, is now streaming for free in the UK.

Released in 1998 U.S Marshals follows a team of Marshals assigned to take down a violent killer who has been accused of double-murder.

In the film, which co-starred Tommy Lee Jones and Wesley Snipes, Downey Jr plays a villainous mole within the US police force named John Royce.

A sequel to the 1993 movie The Fugitive, which starred Harrison Ford, U.S. Marshals is now available to stream for free on the ITV streaming service ITVX.

Previously speaking about the movie in Ben Falk’s biography of Downey Jr The Fall and Rise of the Comeback Kid, the MCU star said he would “rather wake up in jail for a TB test than have to wake up another morning knowing I’m going to the set of U.S. Marshals” (via Far Out).

Downey Jr slammed the film as “possibly the worst action movie of all time” before adding: “You’ve had a traumatic year… what do you think would be really healing for you? How about like 12 weeks of running around as Johnny Handgun?

“I think that if you talk to a spirit guide, they would say, ‘That’ll kill you.’ … I thought maybe there was something I was missing, and what I really needed to do was to be in one of those films that I love taking my kid to. It would end up being really depressing.”

Previously speaking in an interview with AV Club, Downey Jr said of the film: “I don’t remember anything about U.S. Marshals except that we were running around and pretending like we could ever hold a candle to The Fugitive.

“I just remember like, ‘Strap on your bulletproof vest, you’re in the bayou!’ What the f**k what? Where’s the story?”
