The first bank holiday of May is here, which will give many of us an extra long weekend to enjoy. For many of us, this will mean heading to the shops or eating out with friends and family.

Whether you are looking to shop or eat over the bank holiday, the Trafford Centre and Manchester Arndale have got you covered, with over 400 shops between the two centres.

But before you head down on Monday, it is important to check the opening hours for the two stores as they may differ during the bank holiday.

The Trafford Centre will open as normal on Bank Holiday Monday, from 10am up to 10pm. Shoppers will be able to browse the centre’s 200 stores as well as eat in any of the delicious restaurants.

But Manchester Arndale will change its opening hours slightly during the bank holiday.

Stores will open an hour later than usual at 10pm, and will close at 6pm – two hours earlier than their usual closing time.

Restaurants will open at 9am, which is an hour later than they would usually, and they will close at 7pm – three hours earlier then they usually close.
