Thinning hair is never a lovely thing to witness, so when I noticed this happening to myself, I was on a mission to find something to help either slow it down or correct what was happening.
By chance, I was introduced to a brand called CENTRED, a haircare brand founded by husband and wife Keiran and Laura, who focus on scalp and hair wellness. Tender Love and Hair Men’s Hair Growth Supplement is a daily formula created to help make hair look stronger and fuller by targeting common causes of male thinning, including DHT sensitivity, inflammation, poor scalp circulation and stress.
Speaking to the brand, they said: ‘CENTRED was created as an alternative to traditional hair loss treatments that target a single pathway and can come with unwanted side effects. Our aim is to support the body rather than override it.’
I first clocked my hair thinning around the temples, so about four and a half months ago I decided to give Tender Love and Hair Men’s Hair Vitamins a go – and I’m genuinely obsessed with the results. I followed the brand’s advice to a tee: two capsules a day with food for a minimum of three months, then dropping down to one a day for maintenance.

The first real sign I saw that they were working was just how fast my hair started growing. I usually need a trim every four to five weeks, but now I can easily book in every two to three weeks. Even my facial hair grows considerably quicker.
I also noticed a wave of new baby hairs popping up along my hairline, especially in areas that had struggled to grow before. Beyond growth, my hair felt noticeably fuller, with far less fallout when washing and styling, which made the results feel even more convincing.

It wasn’t just my hair that I noticed was improving. My nails have been growing quicker and stronger as well.
I’ve been feeling a lot less tired, and during these winter months, it’s helped a lot with fatigue. The ingredients also help to promote a healthier immune system, and for someone who used to pick up illnesses a lot, I haven’t been unwell in a very long time, touch wood.
The formula is made with 100 percent natural active ingredients designed to tackle things like DHT (a hormone linked to hair thinning), as well as inflammation caused by stress and poor circulation. ‘Our Men’s Formula uses natural DHT-balancing ingredients like saw palmetto, alongside Reishi Mushroom to help regulate stress and hormone balance, because elevated cortisol can accelerate hair thinning just as much as genetics,’ explains the brand.
It’s enriched mix means they’re not the best-smelling or tasting supplements – but thankfully, the aftertaste doesn’t hang around, unlike some others that I have tried. But let’s face it, vitamins don’t always taste delicious anyway.
