A man is fighting for life after being hit by a car in Wythenshawe. It happened on Altrincham Road in Baguley at around 11.10pm on Friday night (January 30).
The 30-year-old pedestrian was struck by a yellow Audi S3 Quattro, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.
He suffered injuries described by the force as ‘life-threatening.’

A 23-year-man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, GMP said.
He has since been released on bail, they added.
The crash is being investigated by the force’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU).
They are now appealing for any witnesses to the collision, or anyone who may have dashcam footage, to come forward.
