A man who died following a road traffic incident in Co Tyrone earlier today has been named locally.
Emergency services were deployed to the scene at Donaghanie Road, Omagh, after the crash in what was described at the time as a serious incident.
In a statement on Tuesday night the PSNI confirmed there had been one fatality and that a lorry was involved in the accident and no other vehicle was part of the accident.
Several tributes have tonight been paid to Drumquin native Cameron Donnelly.
Drumquin GAA club wrote on their Facebook account: “Drumquin GAA Club wishes to express its deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Cameron Donnelly following his tragic and untimely death earlier today.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Donnelly and Patterson families at this incredibly difficult time. We extend our heartfelt condolences to all who are grieving this devastating loss. As a mark of respect, all club activities will be suspended until further notice.
“We ask the Drumquin GAA community to keep the family in their thoughts and prayers, and to respect their privacy as they mourn.”
Community Facebook group, Drumquin Through The Years also paid tribute to Mr Donnelly.
Their post read: “It is with great and profound sadness that we learn of the untimely passing of Cameron Donnelly.
“We, as a community at home and abroad, extend our sympathies to Cameron’s Mummy and Daddy Brona and Dermott, Cameron’s brother Jake and sister Darcy-Leigh as well as the extended Donnelly and Patterson Family circle at this difficult time.
“The Donnelly family have asked for their home to remain private at this time, as they begin to come to terms with their unimaginable loss. Wake and Funeral details will be posted here in due course.
Chief Inspector Simpson, from the Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Shortly after 10.20am, police received a report of a collision involving a lorry and an industrial worker in the Donaghanie Road area of the town.“Officers, along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, attended the scene. Sadly, the man died at the scene.“The Health and Safety Executive were also in attendance. The Donaghanie Road remains closed this evening, and is expected to remain closed overnight.“Our enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have digital footage which could assist with our investigation, to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 410 of 02/02/26.”
