A press conference in London turned chaotic when two Pakistani journalists, Safina Khan and Asad Ali Malik, were caught on camera in a heated exchange that quickly escalated into a verbal spat. The incident, which took place during an event addressed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Salman Akram Raja, reportedly a close aide of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has now gone viral on social media.

In the viral video, Khan and Malik can be seen hurling abuses at each other while onlookers attempt to diffuse the tension. Khan later shared the clip on her official X handle, claiming she had been “cornered” during the press event by journalists Fareed from ARY News and Rafeeq from Hum News.

“They also started speaking over me while I was asking questions,” she alleged in her post. “If anything happens to me, I hold these journalists responsible, she said.

In another statement, written in Urdu, Khan expressed outrage over expletives used for her during the incident. “I heard someone’s mother being abused, not for myself. There was no such thing as honour among these shameless men. The one who abused the mother of senator journalist Azhar Javed from Youth was being slapped while sitting down. When I could not tolerate the abuse of Azhar Javed’s mother, how could I remain silent after hearing the abuse of my own mother?” she wrote.

In response, Asad Ali Malik, a UK-based journalist, dismissed her claims. “These are false and baseless allegations, consistent with her pattern of past behaviour. The facts are clear and supported by multiple eyewitnesses,” he stated in a post on X.

Khan further claimed that PTI supporters have been harassing her online and in person, even alleging that there had been an attempt to carry out an acid attack against her. “An acid attack was even carried out, but I was neither afraid then nor will I be afraid now. If a man gets up and abuses me or my mother, I will abuse him twice as much as the women in his house,” she wrote.

She also accused ARY News reporter Farid Qureshi of manipulating the video footage and sharing an edited version from a fake account. In her X post, she reshared the original clip uploaded by an account named “Pakistani” and alleged that Qureshi was behind the altered version circulating on social media.
