Alan Carr will be leaving the home he shared with his ex-partner near Horsham in search of a fresh start in Scotland.

The Celebrity Traitors winner’s search for his dream castle will be documented in a new show on Disney+, entitled Castle Man.

The 49-year-old star lives in a £2.7million house near Horsham, which he previously shared with former husband Paul Drayton, until the couple divorced in 2022.

They were married by singer Adele in a ceremony in California in 2018.

However, the couple later parted ways, not long after Drayton was handed a suspended sentence for drink driving in 2021 after reversing into a police car in Broadbridge Heath while over the limit.

In an interview with the Daily Mirror, Carr said he fancied a change following his appearance on the BBC One game show.

The UK Traitors franchise is filmed in Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands.

He added: “I’m selling up and going up there. For real. My money, my decision. I’m still in the house where my ex was. We’re divorced now, and it’s been four years.”

Carr, who won £87,500 on the show for Neuroblastoma UK, described the programme as “the best thing I have ever done”.

He added that he had always dreamed of owning a castle, and was looking forward to viewing potential properties.

Carr is among a number of famous faces to have frequented Horsham.

Other stars include presenter Holly Willoughby, who attended The College of Richard Collyer, and comedian Harry Enfield, who was born in the town.
