New York Fashion Week kicks off on 11 February 2026, marking the official start of the AW26 fashion month — and this season promises to be a doozie. Thanks to last year’s swathe of creative director shake ups, there will be more debut collections than you can shake a stick at. Plus, with New York and London hoping to breathe fresh life into their fashion weeks by investing in rising talent, there are plenty of fresh faces proving to be seriously hot tickets. Consider this your cheat sheet for the AW26 fashion month.
New York Fashion Week, 11-16 February 2026
While Ralph Lauren will be early out of the starting gate with a pre-NYFW show on 10 February, the main event will begin with one of the biggest debut’s of the season: Rachel Scott’s first collection for Proenza Schouler. The brand’s founders and co-creative directors, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, made one of last year’s most surprising moves, stepping down from their brand after 23 years at the helm to take over the reins at Loewe. Accordingly, Scott’s debut will be the first time another designer has ever created a collection for Proenza Schouler and the industry waits with bated breath to see where she will take this darling of the American fashion scene.
Elsewhere, returning NYFW stalwarts will include Michael Kors, Carolina Herrera, Altuzarra and Collina Strada, while Public School will make this return to the schedule this season. As for newcomers, a whole bevy of brands will be appearing in New York for the first time this season, including established brands such as 7 for all Mankind and Cult Gaia, alongside up-and-comers including Contessa Mills, Andrew Curwen, Pipenco and J.Press.
London Fashion Week, 19-23 February 2026
Extending its run with an extra afternoon of shows and presentations on Thursday afternoon, LFW AW26 promises a bumper schedule featuring more than 100 in-person shows, presentations and events. Starting things on a slightly sombre note, Paul Costelloe will commence LFW with its first show since the passing of its eponymous founder, marking new creative director William Costelloe’s fashion week debut. Following the programme’s success last season, the British Fashion Council will continue to waive show fees for designers on the main schedule for AW26, and fans of the bold and experimental won’t want to miss newcomers Agro Studio, Ewenki, Liberowe and Selasi.
As ever, the BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund and BFC Newgen schemes will offer up some of the exciting shows of the season, with Conner Ives, Chopova Lowena, Pauline Dujancourt and Aaron Esh among the names to know. AW26 also promises to be the season of the returning designer in London, with highly anticipated shows and presentations from Chet Lo, Julien Macdonald, Temperley London and Phoebe English, while tentpole names including Burberry, Erdem, Simone Rocha, Richard Quinn and Emilia Wickstead round out a well balanced mix of emerging and established talent.
Milan Fashion Week, 24 February – 2 March 2026
While the official schedule for MFW AW26 has yet to be announced, there are a few things we can be certain of. Firstly, Italian fashion behemoths Dolce&Gabbana, Prada, Bottega Veneta, Ferragamo, Armani and Gucci will remain among the must-see shows of the week. Secondly, Maria Grazia Chirui’s debut collection for Fendi will be one of the highlights of the entire season. Thirdly, all eyes will be on Versace to see exactly what on earth is happening over there.
In March last year, the brand appointed former Miu Miu designer Dario Vitale to succeed Donatella Versace. Vitale, however, remained in position for just nine months and was dismissed in December 2025 following Versace’s acquisition by the Prada Group. At the time of writing, Versace remains without a creative director — will it sit this season out or announce a starry debut (the wise money is on Alaïa’s Pieter Muller or Saint Laurent’s Anthony Vaccarello) at the eleventh hour?
Paris Fashion Week, 2-10 March 2026
The longest and most star-studded of the major international fashion weeks, Paris Fashion Week will once again welcome the likes of Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Miu Miu, Tom Ford and Schiaparelli. Accordingly, it will also be home to some of the AW26 season’s biggest debuts, among them Antonin Tron’s initial outing for Balmain, following the departure of long-term creative director Olivier Rousteing late last year, and Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez’s first collection for Loewe.
Inevitably, there will also be much attention paid to the Victoria Beckham show — perhaps more so to the front row than the actual runway. Traditionally a time when the Beckham family comes out in force in support of their matriarch, will Brooklyn and Nicola be present and correct following the former’s social media meltdown last month? We suspect not.
