Brazil Activates e-Visa Requirement for U.S., Canada, Mexico, France and Other Nationals
From 1 January 2026, Brazil will require an e-Visa for citizens of the U.S., Canada, Mexico, France and several other nations. Applications are fully on-line and approvals arrive within 72 hours, reducing lead times but obliging companies to update travel-approval processes. The move restores reciprocity, strengthens border controls and is expected to have a mixed impact on inbound tourism and corporate travel.
