Stan Wawrinka is enjoying a fantastic tournament at the Aix En Provence Challenger tournament, with a final against Borna Coric up next.
The three-time Grand Slam champion has dropped just one set throughout the tournament, which came against the first seed, Alexei Popyrin.
Wawrinka has had a tough first four months of the 2025 ATP season, failing to make it past the third round of any tournament he’s played in, but now has the chance to win his first title since 2020.
The Swissman, who questioned his ability to keep playing last year, has tasted plenty of success in his legendary career, and could be about to add yet another accolade to his resume.

At 40 years of age, Wawrinka could become the oldest Challenger champion in history with a win over Borna Coric in the final.
A wildcard at the event, Wawrinka has won four of the five previous meetings with his final opponent Coric, who has been ranked as high as 12 in the world.
The last meeting between the two came just five weeks ago at the Naples Challenger event, where the Swiss player dominated 6-2, 6-2.
Wawrinka will hope to improve his season record of 4-9, as he bids to make history in France.
Who are the oldest Challenger champions of all time?
Wawrinka will be the first player 40 or older to win a Challenger tournament, with the current three oldest completing the feat in their late 30s.
The current record holder is Croatian Ivo Karlovic, who won the Calgary challenger even in 2018 at the age of 39 years and seven months, defeating Jordan Thompson in the final.

Just behind him is recently retired Fernando Verdasco, who emerged victorious at the 2022 Monterrey tournament at 38 years and three months.
Third in the list is Richard Gasquet, who in September 2024 triumphed at the Cassis Open, trailing Verdasco by just one month.
