
Six Mahatma Jyotirao Phule residential schools will be upgraded into junior colleges, says Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has issued comprehensive directions to empower the backward communities through education, entrepreneurship, and modern infrastructure.
At a review meeting on the Backward Classes welfare at the Secretariat on Wednesday, Mr. Naidu said under the ‘Adarana-3’ scheme, modern equipment and tools would be provided to the beneficiaries to promote micro-entrepreneurship and strengthen MSMEs.
Residential schools and hostels wil be constructed using ₹60 crore from the SASKI funds, while RO plants will be installed at 814 B.C. welfare hostels by March at an estimated cost of ₹17 crore to ensure safe drinking water, he said, and directed the officials to maintain high standards of sanitation and food quality, and implement the best practices across health, education, and student welfare.
To improve academic monitoring, all B.C. students will have Aadhaar IDs registered and integrated with the oversight systems. The ongoing construction of B.C. buildings across the State must be completed soon, and six Mahatma Jyotirao Phule residential schools will be upgraded into junior colleges.
Net-zero energy concept
The Chief Minister directed that all B.C. hostels and residential schools adopt net-zero energy concepts.
Plans are underway to establish a BC residential school in every constituency and elevate BC study circles to the next level, he said, reiterating that the government gives a priority to the welfare of the Backward Classes, and implemeniting schemes that directly benefit them.
