A man has been charged after officers recovered Class A drugs and a knife in Rubery.

Reo Seivwright, aged 28 from Solihull has been charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

He was also charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, dangerous driving and possession of a bladed article.

Seivwright was remanded in custody to appear today at Birmingham Magistrates Court.

This comes after a joint operation by the County Lines Taskforce and Force Traffic teams.

Officers stopped a vehicle on Rubery Lane just after 11am yesterday morning (February 4).

A quantity of Class A drugs, mobile phone and locking knife were recovered.

West Midlands Police are specifically working to identify criminals involved in serious organised crime and bring them to justice.

This work is known as Operation Target and is working across the region to make communities safer places to live and work.
