Video footage showing the moment a gang ram-raided a shop’s cash points has been released by police.

The break-in happened at a Co-op store on Glen Road, Plympton, Devon, during the early hours of Monday when at least four people used a John Deere telehandler to ram the wall and steal a large sum of money.

Devon and Cornwall Police said it is believed the incident was carried out by a “highly sophisticated and organised criminal gang” connected to several other ram-raid burglaries across the country in the past four months.

Anyone with information about the ram-raid has been asked to contact the force or Crimestoppers.
