The Masked Singer fans were stunned by the latest celebrity to be unmasked on the ITV show on Saturday night, saying they had ‘never expected them in a million years’.

Tonight, the remaining five celebrities – Moth, Can of Worms, Conkers, Toastie and Sloth – all performed again as they competed for a place in next week’s final.

And it was a tense show as two of the remaining contestants were up for elimination.

Ben is known for presenting documentary series, particularly Channel 5’s New Lives in the Wild, and his early fame on the BBC reality show CastAway 2000. He is a renowned adventurer who has rowed the Atlantic, crossed Antarctica, and climbed Mount Everest.

He said he had lost “an average of 1 kilo per song” performing inside the furry costume, adding: “I am so happy to have got this far. I am not a natural born singer.”

Ben revealed the reason he had wanted to come on the show was to challenge stereotypes. He said: “We so often stereotype people…you reach a point in life where you can’t take yourself too seriously.

“I’ve done this for everyone out ther with an inner sloth.”

Viewers were stunned by the reveal, with one writing on X: “Well, I would never have guessed Ben Fogle.”

A second said: “Sloth is… BEN FOGLE!! Well I never. Was not expecting that! #maskedsingeruk.”

And a third added: “Went David baddiel for so long then suddenly Sam Thompson..but never ben!!!!! Never in a million years was I getting Ben Fogle I am SHOOK .”
