There’s nothing quite like finding a bargain. There’s no better satisfaction than trawling through rails of clothes and coming out with an absolute steal. I’ve always loved charity shops for this exact reason. Not only are you supporting a variety of good causes, you’re also finding pre-loved and unique items at an affordable price.
So when I spotted that there was a charity shop where everything was £1, I was obviously keen to find out more. The Cherry Tree Shopping Centre in Wallasey is home to brands such as Primark, B&M and Card Factory.
It is also home to Wirral Age UK, which is tucked in the corner of the shopping centre. Shoppers can follow the directions of its big blue sign, alerting them to the £1 bargains that can be found by following the red arrow.
By shopping at the charity shop, you’re supporting Age UK, an independent charity working to support older people, their families and carers. The charity exists to ensure the older generation feel fulfilled in their later years.

It was full to the brim of stock. As shoppers walk in, they’ll spot tables filled with boxes of bric-a-brac. I started by looking through the box of wall art positioned in front of the first tables.
The box had about eight different canvases, all priced at £1, of course. Although they weren’t to my taste, I’m sure they would be for someone else, and they were in excellent condition if you’re planning on revamping a room.
I was too drawn to the women’s clothes which were positioned to my right so I decided to move on and start trawling through the rails of clothes. I couldn’t quite believe that all of these items were just £1.

Sometimes clothes that are hanging in charity shops can look a little tired, sometimes bobbled, with questionable stains, or just looking too worn.
I personally thought the clothes were in great condition and couldn’t quite believe the price tag. I found a River Island shirt, PrettyLittleThing blazer, and much more, all for £1 each.
There were also women’s shoes and accessories if you were looking for something to match. I found a pair of green ASOS court heels which I would have taken home with me, if they weren’t a size three.

Shoppers can also find children’s and men’s clothes, again all priced at £1. There’s also a wall filled with DVDs, CDs and a selection of books.
The boxes in the middle were like a miniature flea market, where you could get lost making your way through the boxes, seeing what unique and unusual items they had inside.
There were candles, small homeware items and the odd book. A few odd items, such as a toilet mini golf game, could be found too.
All-in-all, I’d definitely recommend a trip. I couldn’t quite believe the quality of some of the items available, given the price tag.
