Prior to the latest edition of the Miami Grand Prix, Formula One fans mercilessly roasted someone who has become a common face in American F1 coverage.
Former IndyCar and NASCAR driver Danica Patrick once again re-joined the Sky Sports F1 crew in south Florida for the pre-race breakdown of the grid and the track.
But she stepped out onto the pavement at the Miami International Autodrome wearing a dress that many compared to a towel.
Patrick was seen alongside the Sky crew of Jenson Button, Martin Brundle, and Simon Lazenby wearing a white dress and white sneakers.
The dress had a single strap that went over her right shoulder and a hemline that stopped about halfway up her thighs.
Patrick has previously rubbed some F1 fans the wrong way with the style and substance of her commentary. So naturally, social media was aflutter with mockery for her wardrobe.

‘Did someone tell Danica Patrick she was going to a toga party?,’ one user on X, formerly Twitter, wondered.
Another remarked, ‘Brave of Danica Patrick to turn up to a Formula 1 Grand Prix wearing her bed sheet.’
‘Danica Patrick arriving for the race in her bath towel,’ another user joked, adding, ‘The lads looking a bit confused about it all.’
A different user said, ‘Is Danica patrick doing her cosplay for Paper Bag Princess? She looks like Toilet Paper Trumpster.’
That last comment is a remark about Patrick’s political leanings, with the 43-year-old being a vocal supporter of the 47th President during the 2024 election cycle.
However, it appears that love wasn’t reciprocated as Patrick didn’t get an invite to Trump’s election victory party at Mar-a-Lago.
The Wisconsin native appeared put off by the snub, posting to her X account an image of her and two women sitting on a carpeted floor with the caption, ‘Where was our Mar-a-Lago invite?’
McLaren’s Oscar Piastri won the grand prix with fellow papaya-clad teammate Lando Norris finishing P2 and Mercedes’ George Russell rounding out the podium in P3.
